Vienna-based Producer Dunkelbunt will finally return with a new release next year and, from what we can hear so far, he´s once again reinventing himself.
According to the first Sneak Peak of „Mountain Jumper“ [dunkelbunt] concentrated his work on the fusion of traditional sounds and influences from North-American music genres of the last centuries, such as Bluegrass or Fiddle and Banjo sounds, combined with his taste for rich beats and nowadays club music. You will find HipHop influences, wobbling Dub-parts every now and then, Lounge music and Up-Tempo Breaks. Some of the tracks are features with the Rapper Alix, who is also the voice of the first single „Egal“. In the associated video [dunkelbunt] underlines, that he´s at home basically everywhere. It was produced on the croatian island of Vis in september, during the Goulash Disko Festival, where he played terrific gigs at the seaside and on the festival´s party boat.
After playing plenty of gigs in North America and living in Hawaii for quite a while, [dunkelbunt] is back in Vienna and finished his new album. A tribute to the North-American Melting Pot, all his different cultures and influences. Catch up on the next dates in your city and be sure not to miss the release date of „Mountain Jumper“.
